PS3 System Update 4.88 has just been released (1st June 2021). Keep in mind PS3HEN v3.0.3 Compatible only with 4.88 Hybrid Firmware (HFW). PS3 Jailbreak 4.88 process is quite simple. if you get error 80010017 launching homebrew that simply means HEN failure, restart the console and try again! (restart is important!) also, try deleting cache, browsing data, cookies and the likes from the browser, make the exploit page the home page.
CFW does not confirm yet for 4.88. Also, CFW can be installed only supported models (Below CECH-2508B). You can wait for 250B or your fat model.
As I have mentioned above developers recommendations stay on the lower version and wait for some big update or you can update your HEN.
